Grandpa, I will miss you very much. I have a ton of good memories during Christmas and all of my birthdays. Even when you drove the lawnmower and let me drive it to cut the lawn when I was only 14. Its still hard to believe you are gone. I love you very much.

Beverly and Family,
Our condolences on Howard's passing. Howard was a leader in our industry (the grocery business) in my humble opinion Howard was way ahead of his time in the area of "how to treat" the employee. At Save Mart he was one of the Store Managers many of us wanted to work for, two main reason, 1st, he could I.D. talent and everyone knew that, so if he gave you the " good to go" to the upward leadership, you were on your way. Second, he truly understood the importance of saying "Thank you, for a job well done today" He will be missed by all.

My condolences on Howard's passing. I worked with Howard at store #7. He was one of the best managers I had an opportunity to work with. One memory I have is every morning before we opened the store I would go next door to the doughnut shop and get some doughnuts for all of us there in there morning. Howard would always remind me he wanted a cinnamon roll. We would all sit down in the office and take our break, then open the store for the day.

Beverly and Family,
my condolences on Howard's passing. Throughout my Save Mart Career, Howard was one of my primary 'guide posts' as a mentor, boss, and friend. He was the person directly responsible for initial employment, (1970 at SM#10),and was a key reason why I continued my career. Dianne and I both shared a tear as we read todays paper. We too will miss him, but greatly appreciate the many shared memories that you made us feel as a part of your family.
