Bonanno family; no words can describe our sorrow at hearing the news of our sweet little Ilana. Indeed, she will always be remembered for her laugh, her cheer and the hugs she would bestow upon you. I will always fondly remember her hugs when she was young, daily would come on to the pool deck and wrap her arms around my waist with a big Bonanno hug! Our little Skimmer family has lost too many members this year but we are all bettyer for knowing and experiencing life with our little angels. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. No words can ease your heartache I'm sure, just know we love you.

Dearest Maria, Bob & Michelle,
We were so sad to hear of the loss of such a beautiful, and loving young lady. I still see Ilana at basketball practices and games. I see her on field trips, graduation day from Holy Rosary, and all the kids at so many events. How can this be...I cannot find any words to help your hearts. We can only pray for her and the family she loved so much. May the Lord comfort you and bless you all always. Her beautiful smile and kind heart will forever be remembered. Maria,Bob&Michelle my heat goes out to your family.I first met Ilana when she was six years old at Mervyn's she would follow me arond the store and some times eat with me in the break room.Ilana was a charmer she stole my heart,she called me her (Buddy)Ilana I will be your (Buddy) forever!

Ilana was and to me still is an amazing young woman whom inspired meto want more out of life and blessed me with her infectious smile and laugh which was only matched ny the incredibly large heart she posessed!She will truly be missed in the bar she called home on Thursday & Satuarday nights for some down south good ol' electric music! I hope somehow you can find some peace and solice in knowing the countless lives she has touched and are now so much better because of it. She will always be in my mind and has a place in my heart! I remember the first night my Aunt, Karen Ramsey, who worked alongside Ilana at Perkins, came in with ur daughter/sister, it was plutonic love at first site. I will miss every hug hello and goodbye every evening! Deepest Sympathy, Anthony Ramsey & her extended Cantab Family!

Ilana, I still can't believe that you are actually gone. I love you so much. Looking at your pictures hurts. The last time I talked to you we were trying to figure out when we would be able to come up to see you for the holidays. I promise I will never forget you, you are such an incredible person. I went to DV with Ilana and though I do not know her as well as others I did know this: she was wonderful, she had the brightest smile that lights up the room, she was always happy and made others happy, she was nice to everyone no matter who they were. She has given us all this and now through her passing she has given us one more thing, the love we all have for each other and how we have all come together in this time and remember all the good and treasure this, it puts it into perspective for us that time is short so make the most and enjoy it, I know this has certainly changed me for the better. She will always be loved, always be remembered, but NEVER forgotten. My prayers are there for the family she left behind we love you Ilana and that will never change

My heart is filled with sorrow to hear of the passing of Ilana. I have not seen Michelle or Ilana in many years but i remember them both vividly from my days working at Serendipity (the before and after school program at Holy Rosary school). Most young kids hide behind their parents when you first meet them, but not Ilana she greeted me with a huge hug the very first time we met and then everyday after. She was always smiling, always happy and always prepared to greet you with a hug! It has been many years but after reading the other posts it appears as if her warm, loving and outgoing nature only grew. I feel blessed to have known her. Bonanno family, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this very difficult time.

Ilana is someone I ahve always described as my soul mate. She got me, and I got her. She helped me through some hard times, and was always there for me. I hate that I could not be there for her when she needed me, this world has lost such a bright amazin light and I will miss her and celebrate her forever. I don't have words to express how truly sad I am to hear of Ilana's passing. I only found out but moments ago. And I must say, its hit me like a train. She gave the best hugs. In fact the first time I met her, I was greeted with a hug. It felt like home, safe, happy, full of joy. So when I read her obituary, its added affirmation as to how true of a soul she was, because everyone wanted a piece of the happiness she carried with her. There was solace to be found in her friendly embrace. I will never forget her! I love you Ilana! May your soul be as free as it was when you were earthbound my friend....

Ilana was the greatest, most beautiful woman I have ever had in my life. I am truely blessed to have had her as a friend for 9 years. She filled all of us with joy and laughter. I am a Teacher at Perkins School for the Blind, and Ilana worked with my students in the evening program. To say she was amazing, is an understatement! Her infectious smile entered the classroom ahead of her, and with it, she spread joy, happiness and compassion everywhere she went. I LOVED working with her and was grateful for the skill and caring she brought to her students. She was kind
