I am so sorry about Joe's passing! He had a great personality and work ethic, and I really enjoyed working with him at CSUS. He always brightened up my day with his positive and light-hearted nature. Joe was a true gem.
My deepest sympathy to his loved ones.

Glenn and I were so saddened to learn of Joe's death. He was such a kind and brave man. We were so pleased to have lived next to the Guerra family in the Camelot neighborhood and to witness Joe's courageous battle with kidney disease. He taught us all how to face a serious health issue with calm acceptance and strength. God was surely in his heart.

Dan & Linda, although no words can really help to ease the loss you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer.

Mr. Guerra was my next door neighbor in Modesto for many years. I remember him with great fondness as he always made me and my brothers and sister feel welcome in his home when we came to play with his kids. Although it has been nearly thirty years since I last saw him, I will always remember his warmth and good nature. Rest in peace, Mr. Guerra. With deepest sympathy at this difficult time, Patty, Dan and Mrs. Guerra, you are in our thoughts. Patricia Kosich (Korn)

Joe, we all will miss you. When you were on dialysis, I would come over, play chess with you and drink tequila. It took me a while to realize the machine was keeping you sober and I was not. You beat me every time!
