Julie Zakarian Obituary

JULIE ANN ZAKARIAN OCT 1, 1958 - OCT 10, 2010 Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal. Julie Zakarian, loving girlfriend, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all she came in contact with, died October 10, 2010 from complications brought on by leukemia. She was 52 years young. Julie's passion for life was evident in her contagious smile and the joy and laughter she brought to the many lives she touched. Born and raised in Modesto, she had a love for sports, socializing, and travel. Julie enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend and their two dogs at various RV parks around California. When not off on a new adventure her home was a warm gathering place for her family and friends. Julie will be greatly missed by those who knew her, but she will remain forever in our hearts. Julie is survived by her long time boyfriend, Dennis Huff, her doting parents, Ben and JoAnn Zakarian, and her loving brother and sisters, Ben Zakarian Jr. (Rhonda), Susan Zakarian, and Janet Zakarian-Venturini (Doug). She also leaves behind her adoring sons, Aram (Heather) and Erik Farris, and her precious grandson, Benjamin Farris, as well as many friends and loved ones. A Celebration of Julie's life will be held on Saturday, October 23rd from 11am to 3pm at 7130 River Road in Oakdale. In her loving memory, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or to a charity of your choice. www.modbee.com/obituaries

JoAnn & Ben, I know it has been years since you have heard from me. I was hoping to rekindle an old friendship when I put Julie's name on facebook. This totally was not what I expected to find. It seems like yesterday we were swimming in your pool, dancing in the street and eating popcorn on Frdiay night, easter egg hunting at grandma Ness's house. Having a crush on the same boy. I have very fond memories of Julie and the family that supported her. I truly am sorry for your loss.

I can hardly remember the day I did not know Julie. Julie has been a part of my family for ever, and my true friend for life. Julie , Dennis and who ever Julie could find as a date for me went so many places together. Julie was always the best match maker. I can even remember when Julie was a very shy girl, but that was a very , very long time ago. Julie always treated me as family, and showed her love for me, I will miss you and always love you, Duane Bowling

I knew Julie for 40 yrs and we never had I bad time ever. Not many people can you say that about, she was 1 of a kind. We worked at gallo it was 1978 and she worked across the line I would fall asleep a she would throw something a me and wake me up, Well I got fired a she worked there for many year's. If you were having a bad day and Julie was around she would put a smile on your face, with her sweet smile and her charm, Thats who Julie was and that's how I will remember her,I will be remember Julie just a wonderful sweet caring loving person. I was blessed to have know her and share the great times we had together. My deepest sympathy go out to her family .
She will forever be in my heart. Howard W Mcwhirter Jr. Bubba

I am heartbroken to hear of Julie's passing. She fought such a courageous battle and was truly an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Her beautiful spirit will live forever in our hearts. Take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, a special angel watching over, protecting and guiding those she loved so dearly. I feel blessed to have known her and will always remember all the happy times we shared through the years, especially at the races. Sending loving thoughts and prayers to all of you and hoping that your wonderful memories of Julie will bring you comfort.

Sister, I think about you all the time. Staying busy is the best, but so often I want to stop what I'm doing and give you a call just to see what's going on. I can't believe that I'll never hear your voice on the other end of the phone, see you sitting in your chair, or share a yogurt with you again. I'm so glad that you're not suffering. You were finally able to get off of the rollercoaster you've been on the past 2 1/2 years and now it's time for you to enjoy your new life. I will always love you! One day we will be united again and like the big sister you are I know that you will take me by the hand and guide me just like you did when we were kids. Understand that when I cry it's because I miss you and love you, and I always will. xxoo, Jan-jan ;o)
