Lee Middleton Obituary

LEE R. MIDDLETON FEB 14, 1943 - SEP 18, 2010 Lee Middleton, a 12 year resident of Riverbank, had a peaceful passing on September 18th at the beautiful Alexander Cohan Hospice House in Hughson, CA. Lee was born in San Antonio, Texas into an Air Force family. He joined the Navy at an early age and served his country for 6 years as a Navy Air Navigator during the Viet Nam war. Lee completed high school in Hawaii and later attended TCU in Fort Worth, TX. His love for aviation stayed with him his entire life. Lee was a private pilot and a member of AOPA (Aircraft Owners & Pilot Association) and a subscriber to NSTB Reporter. He also loved fishing and hunting and was a member of NRA and Ducks Unlimited. Lee was a long time member of the Operating Engineers Union, Local 3. He had worked all over the country as an ironworker, heavy equipment operator, contractor and refinery consultant. Lee had an adventurous spirit throughout his life and a laugh that could light up a room. Lee is survived by his wife, Joan. Also survived by his mother, LaVera Sanders of Houston, Tx; Lee's son and daughter-in-law, Garrett and Lauren, of Pensacola, Florida; stepchildren, Cindy, Carl and Darrick. A sister, Suzanne, and brother, Greg, both of Texas. At his request, no services will be held. His wish was for friends and family to celebrate his life.
