Lois Black Obituary

LOIS LORENE BLACK NOVEMBER 8, 1923 Lois was born November 8, 1923 to Claude and Mary Sullivan in Ardell, TX. She was the second of seven children. She came to California as a child. In May 1947, she married Walter Black Jr. In Modesto. Later they had two children Kathryn and Steven. In 1954, they moved to Ceres where they have lived ever since. She worked at Tri Valley #7 and in local elections. She also loved to do crafts, and have company. She was a active member of the Whitmore Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter in June, the love of her life for more then 63 years. She is survived by 2 sisters and a brother, 2 children, 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 1st, at 1:30 PM Lakewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to her son's Ghana Mission work at Whitmore Church of Christ, 416 W. Whitmore, Modesto, CA 95358 or the Alexander Cohen Hospice House, 2201 Euclid Ave., Hughson, CA 95326. www.modbee.com/obituaries
