Mabel Olson Obituary

MABEL LYDELL OLSON MAY 16,1910 - NOV 11, 2010 Mabel Olson, age 100, passed away at Covenant Care Center Turlock on Thursday, Nov. 11. She was born in Seattle, WA on May 16, 1910. She moved to San Jose, CA when she was 11 years old and then to Turlock, CA in 1945. She married Ed Olson in 1955 and was married for 46 years when Ed passed away. Mabel worked for Bank Of America for 40 years before retiring. She also gave piano lessons after moving to Hilmar in 1955. Mabel loved her garden and her music and sewing for others. She was a member of a Covenant Church all her life and of Hilmar Covenant Church since 1955. She is survived by stepson Bob Olson, sister Ruth Erlandson, niece Janet (Sam) Minturn, nephew Lloyd (Susan) Erlandson both of Hilmar, and niece Marjorie (Steve) Garner of Alameda, CA.; also, 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Olson, stepson Don Olson and sister Lil Johnson. A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 22nd at 10:00 AM in Berg Hall, Covenant Village, Turlock, CA.
