Jenny,
I just heard from Ruth Ann about Mark's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the sadness you must be feeling. I know Andy's death was so tragic for me as Mark's is for you. Andy's death changed my life and here I am teaching in China. Let Mark's memory be an inspiration for you and the love the two of you had. My heart goes out to you. Love, Susan your Texas cousin in China

Jenny , I am so very sorry that I could not make it to Mark's funeral . He was so much more than a coach to me , more than a friend and mentor . Mark helped to guide me through a very tough time , and taught me a lot of what I know about how to be a man . The time that we shared , the stories he told , the support and wisdom that he gave to all of us always has been , and always will be very dear to my heart . My deepest condolences to you and your whole family , and my fondest thanks to you for having shared such a beautiful man with us all . Just knowing him was a rare gift .

Jenny I want you to know that Mark touched many lives and has left a lasting legacy. As a coach and friend Mark made me laugh, he inspired me, and he helped me make better decisions. He had such a great sense of humor and I remember him most for his ability to spin the littlest story into an epic adventure. I still can't believe he talked me into watching that movie, "Evil Roy Slade"!God bless you.

Jenny, We think with fondness of the time we got to spend worshipping God together when we lived in Turlock. I remember many chats after services filled with laughter.
We have thought of you many times through the years and inquired about your well being. We always thought of you as the sweetest and kindest of people. To you, Jenny, and to your Dad...Don, if there is anything we can do, please think of calling on us first. We would love to serve in any way we can. Our love and prayers are with you at this time of loss.

Mark was a great friend, coach and mentor. He was always will do give of himself anytime anyone would ask. Everything I learned from Mark as an athlete and as a coach helped me in so many ways. I fondly remember college and knowing that no matter where we travelled for a meet Mark always knew the best places to eat. Is sense of humor and the stories of prior athletes and thei "antics" was always a great way to calm before a big meet or just in general. I will miss him greatly in my life. RIP Coach E! My thoughts and prayers are with Jenny and his entire family. God Bless you all.

I will always remember Mark as a very jovial, kind of heart, down-to-earth person who was always pleasant to be around. He loved people and he loved his sports. He made work seem like play. He lived his life fully and gave of himself generously. We will truly miss his presence.
