Mary Sharp Obituary

MARY FRANCIS SHARP AUG 21, 1921 - SEP 29, 2010 Mary was born in Trenton, Missouri, on August 21, 1921, ten minutes after her twin, to Oliver and Alma Robinson. Upon graduating school in 1938, she married Harry N. Sharp. In 1951, they uprooted their family and moved to California, first living in Ceres and later in Livermore. She worked as part of the office staff for Ceres High and also Granada High in Livermore before retiring in 1984. She had made her home in Modesto for the last 26 years, where she was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter Janice Elaine, husband Harry, and her son Jerry. She is survived by her sons, Lewis and Darrel; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The viewing is on Thursday, October 7th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto, CA. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 8th at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 1732 Miller Ave., Modesto, CA. There will be a private family burial. In lieu of flowers, Mary asked donations be made to Calvary Baptist Church or Community Hospice. www.modbee.com/obituaries
