Pandit Amitesh Ram Sharma

PANDIT AMITESH RAM SHARMA MAR 28, 1981 - OCT 10, 2010 Pandit Amitesh Ram Sharma of Modesto, CA passed away early Sunday morning October 10, 2010 5:01 AM at Doctors Medical Center. Born on March 28, 1981 at Tavua Hospital in the Fiji Islands, Amitesh attended Tagi Tagi Public School in Qalela Tavua. As a child Amitesh enjoyed playing soccer, participating in religious functions, and had an undying passion for music. Amitesh burst into the Hindu folk music scene at the age of eight in his hometown of Qalela Tavua when he started playing various Indian instruments, and sang ancient Hindu songs. Amitesh migrated to the United States in 1995 and resided in Modesto, CA with his parents, and two sisters. He attended Grace M Davis High School and received his high school diploma in 1999. After graduation he received his license as an Automotive Technician from Sequoia Institute in Fremont, CA. He worked as a main tech for Midas at several of their locations throughout the past eight years. His passion for music grew with him as he became a young man and stuck with him till his final moments. He was an active member of Shree Sanatan Dharam Ramayan Bhajan Faag Mandali of Modesto, CA, and was one of the founders of Modesto Bhajan Mandali. Amitesh was strongly dedicated to his religion and regularly attended religious functions with his father Pandit Rishi Ram Sharma where he would be the lead singer in Ramayans and bhajans at the homes of other Hindu devotees. In November 2009, Amitesh married his wife, Pooja Trishna Prasad, in Suva Fiji. Amitesh is survived by his wife Pooja Trishna Prasad-Sharma, Baby Amitesh Adarsh Ram Sharma, father Pandit Rishi Ram Sharma, mother Sneh Ram, late grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Shiu Prasad Sharma, grandparents Late and Ms. Sis Ram Sharma, sister Amrita Sundar, sister Akashni Jyoti Sharma, The Sundar Family, Ishwari Prasad and family, 15 aunts and uncles, 35 cousins, two nieces, and one nephew.
