Patrick Brennan Obituary

PATRICK BRENNAN JAN 25, 1930 - SEP 16, 2010 Patrick Brennan (80) of Alturas died at Modoc Med Center. Pat was born to Thomas & Edith Brennan in Stockton & grew up with brothers, Jack & Tom, in Eugene, Oakland & Sonora, with their mother after their father's death in 1933. Mr. Brennan graduated from Sonora High, was a Future Farmers of America member & later a lifetime member of the American Angus Association. In addition, Pat served in the National Guard & US Coast Guard as a radio operator. Following his military service, he worked in Tuolumne County, married Lana Bryant & helped raise her son, Kenneth Stanfield. Pat moved to the Orr family ranch in Eugene to raise Suffolk sheep, registered Angus cattle & work the Shell gas delivery business in Jamestown with his brother, Jack. Pat & Lana had 2 sons, Patrick & Shannon. Years after Lana's untimely death, Pat married, Dee. Once retired, they moved to Alturas and enjoyed fishing, tinkering, & bragging about his boys & three grandchildren. He was a widower again in 2004. He's survived by his brother, Tom Brennan of Oakdale; sons, Patrick Brennan of Escalon, Shannon (Crystal) Brennan of Winnemucca, NV, stepson, Kenneth Stanfield; grandchildren, Brent Brennan of ID, Jacob Brennan and Meghan Brennan both of NV. He's preceded in death by wives, Lana & Dee; parents, Thomas & Edith Brennan & brother, Jack Brennan. A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Wed., Sept. 29 at the Eugene Cemetery with lunch to follow at the Escalon Sportsman's Club. In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be made in his name to your local chapters of Future Farmers of America (FFA). www.modbee.com/obituaries
