Paul Castro Obituary

PAUL T. CASTRO AUG 13, 1936 - JAN 9, 2011 Paul T. Castro, 74, of Modesto, CA, passed after a brief illness. Paul was born to Luis and Demetria Castro on Aug. 13, 1936 in Los Angeles. In the late 1940's, the family migrated to Fresno county. He married his first wife, the former Mary D. Osuna. They migrated to Stanislaus County and resided in Ceres and Hughson, where he was employed by Weyerhaeuser Company, whom he diligently served more than thirty years until his retirement in 2002. Paul's simple, gentle demeanor and generous soul cultivated long lasting, loving friendships. In faith, he shared his God given gift for healing the sick and many recovered. Paul appreciated the wonder and beauty of nature. In particular, he loved the fragrance of roses. He will be sadly missed by his loving second wife Robby, children, and grandchildren. He leaves behind two sons, David and Joe; three daughters, Mona, Mary Ellen and Christina; numerous grand- children and great grand- children; his brothers, Manuel and Richard Castro; sisters, Lupe Garcia, Olga Schortner and Mary Glenn. Paul was preceded in death by: his parents Luis and Demetria, his twin brother Luis Jr. (Louie), twin stillborn infants, and his first wife Mary. Funeral Mass on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011 in Ceres at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 11:00am (funeral arrangements Salas Bros. Chapel). www.modbee.com/obituaries

My father worked with Paul and his twin brother in the 1950’s in central California. My father Martin said that he had been friends with the twins and was deeply saddened by Paul’s death. My father passed away , but I remembered the stories he use to tell me about the past , my condolences
