Richard Williams Obituary

RICHARD GLASS WILLIAMS
MAY 19, 1945 - OCT 1, 2011
Richard Glass Williams, 66, died Saturday surrounded by his loved ones in the family home.
Rich was born in Oakland, California and raised by his beloved paternal Grandmother, Lucille Williams. He enjoyed a nearly magical boyhood across the street from Lake Merritt.
Richard is survived by his wife and best friend, Kyle Tobin-Williams.
Richard was a can maker for more than 40 years. He was the Plant Manager of Silgan Containers of Modesto, California. He was an avid car buff/mechanic, Corvette enthusiast, Zaino products fan, antique collector, and enjoyed fine food, wine, travel and photography. His collections of watches, gadgets, and stereo equipment were legendary.
Richard leaves five daughters: Elizabeth Talbott, Kian Tobin, Jenny Nahhas, Rebecca Williams and Mellissa Williams. His beloved grandchildren are: Maximilian Ching, Talon Nahhas, Teagan Nahhas, and Logan Williams.
In lieu of any flowers or tributes, Richard requested donations be made to his grandchildren's college fund: Make checks payable to Maximilian Ching, Chase Bank Account #4336391456. Mail to Maximilian Ching, 311 Sawmill Avenue, Waterford CA 95386 or make donation directly at any Chase Bank using the account name and number.
A celebration of Richard's life will be held Saturday, October 15, at 1 PM. We will enjoy food, photos, music, memories, tales and tears. Contact Kyle Williams at (209) 823-5430 for address and directions.
