TONY L. SOUZA NOV 16, 1931 - NOV 4, 2010 Tony L. Souza, 78 of Newman passed away Thursday at Lidia's Blessed Home in Modesto. Mr. Souza was a native of Santa Maria, Azores and a resident of Newman since 1963, he grew up and lived most of his life in Gustine. He was a Dairyman for 50 plus years and a parishioner of St Joachims Catholic Church in Newman. He was a member of Our Lady of Miracles Society and a graduate of Gustine High School Class of 1950. He was married to Elaine for 56 years and enjoyed traveling and reading. Mr. Souza is survived by his wife, Elaine Souza of Newman; son, Anthony Souza(Cherie) of Newman; daughters, Linda Borba (Dave) of Gustine, Loretta Souza of Aptos; caregivers from Lidia's Blessed Home, Lidia, Tino, Benny, Lia, Johnny, David, Naomi and 4 grandchildren, Alyssa Souza of Newman, Andria Borba of Modesto, Aaron Souza of Newman and Neil Souza of Newman. He was preceded in death by his parents Jose & Maria Souza and brother, Joseph Souza. A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Monday, November 8th followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Newman. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 9th at St Joachims Catholic Church in Newman. Interment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
