Wauneta Abbott Obituary

WAUNETA ABBOTT OCT 26, 1917- DEC 7, 2010 Wauneta passed away peacefully at home on December 7, 2010. She was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to Alfred and Esther Wendt. She was one of five children and grew up in the Grand Island area. After graduation from high school she moved to Washington state and worked in private homes. It was there she met Carlyle Abbott and they were married in 1944. They enjoyed a long blessed marriage until his death in 1989. She was always involved in church activities and was a champion for Christian education and children's ministries. Her godly life was a witness to all who knew her. She is survived by her two children, Jeanie Mahaney (Steve) and Alan Abbott, grand-daughter, Dr. Jodi Swanberg Sceville (Dr. Jeff Sceville), and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on January 22, 2011 at the Oakdale Seventh-day Adventist Church. www.modbee.com/obituaries
