WILLIAM MYRON MARXMILLER APR 5, 1931 - SEPT 27, 2010 William Myron Marxmiller passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2010 surrounded by family. Bill was preceded in death by father John Adam Marxmiller and mother Elisabeth Rebecca Phoenix Marxmiller; brothers, Clyde, John, Raymond, Eldon; sisters, Grace Ney, and Velma Porter. He is survived by his wife Elisabeth Kelly Marxmiller of 48 years; brother Ron (Marilee) Marxmiller; and ten nieces and nephews. Born April 5 1931 in Modesto, CA. He graduated from Modesto High School, and Modesto Junior College. He enlisted in the Army 1951 serving his country in the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954. He worked for Bank of America and Farmers and Merchants banks for many years. Bill was the inventor of the Sparklelure that held the lake record at Don Pedro Reservoir for many years. He was an avid outdoors man with a love for hunting and fishing. A long time member of the old fisherman's club and trap shooting team. He also enjoyed bowling. A viewing will be held at Salas Brother, 419 Scenic Dr. in Modesto from 4pm-8pm on September 29, 2010. Graveside service will be held at 10:30am San Joaquin National Cemetery 32053 W. McCabe Rd., Gustine, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Community Hospice, Inc., 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto Ca 95356. www.modbee.com/obituaries

Just heard about Bill's passing and want to express my condolences to family. Bill was a lifetime buddy to my father, Bud Adkins and I grew up hearing about all their great times hunting and fishing together.Thank you for your service to our country Bill and for your valued friendship to my Dad. Rest in peace-Aaron Adkins
