William P. Cordeiro

WILLIAM P. CORDEIRO AUG 13, 1921 - NOV 30 2010 Entered into rest in Redding, CA, at the age of 89. He was raised in Kerman, CA, beloved son of Pete and Isabelle Cordeiro. He was a mechanic and drove tractor in the Central Valley helping his family maintain property until 1954. He moved to the Bay Area to pursue his dream, driving, owning his Big-Rig and to live on the coast. He spent 40 yrs as a diesel mechanic and a line driver for Joaquin Trucking (Lou-Jak) in San Lorenzo. He retired after the passing of his wife Pauline Cordeiro in July 1985. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and riding his motor- cycle with family and friends, going to races and ballgames and Portuguese Fiestas. He was a loving and devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. Greatly admired and well-loved by all that knew him. He is survived by daughter Linda Gutierrez of Modesto; son Larry Cordeiro, Tennessee; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is dearly loved and will be sadly missed and forever in our hearts.
