Dean Russell

Dean Russell was born in Clayton, Oklahoma.  He passed away at home with his wife and children by his side after suffering a short illness.
Dean moved to California and has resided in Turlock since 1970. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and especially trap shooting.  He was a member of the N.R.A., Turlock Sportsman Club and past member of the Newman Swamp Rats. Dean had a great sense of humor and a love for the outdoors. He was a father figure to many and was affectionately called "Uncle Dean".  Most of all he loved spending time with family and friends.
Dean is survived by his wife Phyllis Russell, daughters Lynita (Scott) Rohrer and Lisa (Sam) Karle, grandchildren:  Mike and Randy Ebenal, Kassandra and Kolten Karle; great-grandchildren: Karter and Kam Karle, and Rochelle Violette; and two sisters Lorene Titsworth and Jerri (Clint) Sights. Dean was preceded in death by siblings Opal Melton, Roy, Vernon, Bill and Wayland Russell.
A public visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary on Wednesday Feb. 19th from 4 pm to 7 pm. Funeral service will be held at Allen Mortuary on Thursday Feb. 20th at 10 am with burial to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park. Please leave memories and condolences at
