JOHN A. RUIZ
DEC 8, 1925 - APRIL 16, 2014
John A. Ruiz was born in Ft. Lupton, CO. He lived 40 years in Commerce, CA, and 7 yars in Modesto, CA. He retired as a steel worker while living as a resident in Commerce. He served on the City of Commerce for the traffic, planning and senior advisory commissions. He was a member of the Commerce Evening Lions, Model City Democratic Club, and Sister City Assoc., and the Lazarus Ministry St. Stanislaus of Modesto.
John is survived his wife Ramona Rochelle of 57 years; sister, Amelia Arriquien; stepson, Fred Hernandez; granddaughter, MistyRobles;andgreat-grandson, Matthew Robles; many nieces and nephews; also his dogs, who were very attached to him. He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Michael Ruiz; parents, Salvador & Julia Ruiz; brothers, Joe, Angel, Gene and Mert Ruiz; and sister Nicolasa Ruiz.
A special thank you to nephew Raymond Ruiz and niece Nicky Ruiz and the many relatives and friends, also to the staff at Community Hospice, who helped during his illness.
Viewing will be on Thurs., April 24th from 4:00-8:00pm with Rosary at 6:00pm, both at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Mass will be held on Fri., April 25th at 12:30pm at St. Stanislaus Church, 7th & J St., Modesto, CA. Interment to follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to St. Stanislaus Church and Community Hospice.ww
