JANUARY 26, 1927 - JUNE 2, 2014
On June 2nd, Harry closed his eyes and went to sleep peacefully and took his journey to be with our Lord.  He was 87 years old.  Harry was the 6th of eighteen children born to the late Pete and Marie (Spence) Loewen.  He was born in Merced, CA and raised in Winton.  He went to Winton Elementary School.  He was a World War II veteran.  After the service he moved to Pacoima, CA to join other family that moved to the area.  He got a job at a cookie factory as a mechanic.  There he met his first wife, Ruth (Johnson) Loewen.  To this union were born five children.  Later the family moved back to Winton, CA.  He worked for Turlock Fruit Co. for over forty years.  Harry was an outdoorsman.  He loved fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends. 
Harry is preceded in death by his brothers David, Donald, Melvin Loewen, Pete & Lou Loewen, Cornelius & Jimmie Loewen, Samuel & Alma Loewen, Richard, Bonnie & Clara Loewen, Benjamin & Barbara Loewen; two sisters Viola May, Phyllis & David Warkentin; one sister-in-law Juanita Loewen, three brothers-in-law Fred Hightower, Paul Schmidt and Ernest Warkentin, 1 grandson and 2 great granddaughters; his son Ronald Loewen & daughter-in-law Tami Loewen.
He is survived by his wife Donna 2nd union of marriage, daughters Ida & Fred Kohler, Karen & Robert Jackson; sons Randy Loewen & companion Janet, and Jerry & Ana Loewen.  He also leaves 23 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  Surviving siblings are sisters; Agnes Hightower, Alice Warkentin and Catherine & John May; brothers; Albert & Barbara Loewen, Raymond & Betty Loewen and Bill & Robert Loewen. Visitation will be Monday, June 9, 2014 at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel of Atwater from 12-1PM with a Celebration of Memories at 1PM with Graveside Services at 3PM at Winton District Cemetery.
