SALVADOR "CHATO" RODRIGUEZ
DEC 1989 - MAY 2014
Salvador, age 24,  was a fun loving son, brother, uncle and grandson. He is survived by his mother, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Salvador would volunteer at the Stanislaus Library from the time it opened to the time it closed. He had a huge heart, always wanting to help in any way he could. He made friends everywhere. He would go on bus rides just to hang out and have conversations with the bus drivers. Salvador was a child at heart. He loved to collect papers and would often wear more than one backpack. He loved to watch cartoons.
Salvador's life was taken in May 2014 for reasons that are unknown. What keeps us going are precious memories and knowing that he is with the Lord and watching over us.
Salvador you will forever live on in our hearts and memories. We love you dearly and we will see you again one day.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 3-5pm with a Rosary from 4-4:30pm at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Dr., Modesto, CA.
A "Release of Doves" will be on Sat., June 21st at 5:45pm at the McClatchySquare Rose Garden on 15th & 1st St., Modesto, CA.
I AM FREE
Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free.
I'm following the path God has laid you see.
I took His hand when I heard Him call.
I turned by back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work
or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way.
I found that peace at the close of the day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Oh yes, these things I too
will miss.
Be not burdened with times
of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life's been fun, I savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief.
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee.
God wanted me now; He set me free!
