John Gordon Fantazia, Jr.

John Gordon Fantazia, Jr., 88 of Gustine passed away Wednesday, July 23rd at San Luis Care Center in Newman.
Mr. Fantazia was born in Volta and was a life long resident of Gustine. He was a dairyman for 20 years and an auto mechanic for 34 years. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. He was a parishioner of the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles Church in Gustine, a member of the American Legion of Gustine and a life member of the Young Men's Institute. John was an avid San Francisco 49ers and Giants fan and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.
Mr. Fantazia is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fantazia of Gustine; sons, Mike Fantazia of Gustine and Ron Fantazia of Ceres; daughters, Karen (Bob) Edwards of Newman, Johnna (Mike) Hill of Los Banos, Kathy Hogue of Washington State and Linda Hoos of Modesto; brothers, Joe Fantazia of Ceres and Glenn Fantazia of Sacramento; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 10:00 am followed by a Rosary at 10:00 am with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 am, Friday, August 1st at the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles Church in Gustine. Interment to follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
