Eva Maria Cuarenta of Modesto tragically passed away December 23, 2016 in a car accident on her way home from Disneyland.  She was 26 years old. 
Eva Maria was born in Reedley, CA to Maria and Raul Cuarenta on December 25, 1989.  She was raised in Modesto and graduated from Johansen High School in 2008.  After 4 fun-filled years she graduated from CSU Chico in 2013 with a major in public relations and minors in marketing and journalism.  After graduation she returned to Modesto where she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She also enjoyed her job working in receiving at Niagra Bottling Company in Stockton. 
Eva Maria was always the life of the party.  Her love for life was contagious, as was her beautiful smile and loving spirit.  Eva loved to say "Reality is fake, dreams are real."  And one of her favorite quotes was from Tupac, "During your life never stop dreaming.  No one can take away your dreams."
Eva Maria loved traveling, attending Giants games and exploring breweries and wineries.  Eva Maria loved doing make-up and was an aspiring make-up artist.  Eva's life mantra was drink, smile and risk and was known for saying "Music is my life.  Writing is my passion."
Eva Maria is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Manuel and Maria Cuarenta.  Eva is survived by her maternal grandparents Eva and Sebastian Gallegos; her loving parents Raul and Maria de la Luz Cuarenta; her supportive sisters Mayra Cuarenta, Luz Cuarenta and Laura Cuarenta; her brothers Sergio (Kristi) Cuarenta and Gabriel (Erin) Cuarenta and Raul Cuarenta Jr. "Junior"; and her beloved nieces and nephews Nataliah LaGrande, Noah Cuarenta, Isa Cuarenta and Tiago Cuarenta.  She is also survived by numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins both in the U.S. and Mexico.
Please join us Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate Eva Maria, "the rose that grew from concrete."  Viewing will be held Wednesday January 4th from 5-8pm with the rosary taking place at 6:30pm at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto.  The funeral services will be held Thursday January 5th at 9:30am at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Saint Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Modesto.
