ERNEST ERNIE'' BRANCO JUN 11, 1928 - JAN 2, 2010 Ernest Ernie'' Branco, 81, of Salida passed away on January 2, 2010 at the Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. Born on June 11, 1928 in Honakaa, Hawaii, Ernie has called Salida his home for 15 years after moving from Union City. Ernie worked for 37 years at Sunshine Bisquet as a machine operator in Oakland and then worked part time as a janitor for 28 years in the East Bay Agency for Children also in Oakland. He enjoyed working on crossword puzzles; reading the newspaper everyday and watching the Price is Right and Judge Judy. Every other week he would call his brother Joe and sister Helen in Hawaii. Ernie is survived by his wife of 27 years Herminia Neilsa'' Branco of Salida; his children: Dave of San Lorenzo; Darleen and Davelyn both of California; his step-children: Blanca Garcia of Stockton and Anthony William Davis of Union City; 2 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; his siblings: Joseph Branco and Helen Potelho both of Hawaii; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 from 2pm to 5pm at Deegan-Ripon Memorial Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at 11am at East Union Cemetery in Manteca. His final resting place will be at East Union Cemetery.
