Glen Holm, 84, of Modesto passed away on November 12.  He was born to Emil and Edith Holm on January 17, 1928, in Hoquiam, Washington.
After graduating from Hoquiam High School, Glen worked for the Portland Oregonian Newspaper, held various positions in Forest Grove and Tillamook, Oregon, and then moved west and worked with The San Francisco Examiner.  In 1962, Glen and his brother Bob opened their first Shakey's Pizza Parlor in Modesto, eventually owning two pizza parlors in Modesto, two in Fairfield and one in Stockton.
Glen served in the Army, was a member of the Modesto Masonic Lodge, the Ahmes Shrine and the Modesto Shriners Club.  He was also a member of Del Rio Country Club and the Calvary Temple Lutheran Church.

He is preceded in death by his brothers, Helge, Harold and Bob.
Glen was devoted to his family and cherished his time with them.  He was also an avid golfer and spent many Wednesday mornings on the Del Rio Golf course with his golf buddies.  He was known for his sense of humor and quick wit.  He was a wonderful, hilarious, spunky, vivacious, friendly and hard working man who loved life, family, friends and golf.  He will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
