Charles E. Kilgore
May 9, 1935 - April 26, 2013
Charles E. Kilgore of Modesto, CA went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2013 at the end of a one year illness. Born May 9, 1935 in Panama, OK, Charles, lovingly known as Chuck, was the eldest of five children born to Clarence Charles and Marie Kilgore. He was a member of the first graduating class of Thomas Downey High School, 1954. Chuck held several jobs before choosing his lifelong career as a hair stylist. Chuck was an avid hunter and fisherman, he loved the outdoors, his family and his many clients that he attentively cared for over the years. One of his favorite pastimes was dancing with his fabulous dancing partner and loving wife of 41 years, Pat. Chuck was generous with his time and volunteered for several years as a Sunday School teacher. He was also a member of the Modesto Elks Club. Chuck was a gentle man of God, filled with the sweet Spirit of the Lord. Chuck was instrumental in leading many people to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings: Billy Jack, and Dorothy Jane Welch. He leaves behind his devoted wife Pat, his daughter Manon Fields (Jerry), his sons: Charles O., Ronnie Lee, and Rodolphe Jourdan (Stephanie); his grandchildren: Cameron and Charles Fields, and Nayah and Jeremie Jourdan. Chuck is also survived by his siblings: Jerry Lee (Barbara), and Ann Marie Avalos (Jack), numerous nieces and nephews, as well as beloved friends and coworkers.
