Blane William Nay
October 16, 1976 - July 23, 2013
Born October 16, 1976 in San Leandro, CA. Resided in Oakdale, CA (2 months), prior residence in Riverbank, CA but grew up in San Leandro, CA. Died July 23, 2013 (age 36) in a car accident in Oakdale, CA.
He leaves behind his wife, Carolina Ruiz Nay; his children Olivia (age 6) and Garrett-Blane (age 2); his sister, Carrie Nay Reynolds and bother-in-law Jason Reynolds; nephew Aidan; nieces, Maddison, Alissa and Addison; brother, Mason Lubker.
He also leaves behind his mother, Elizabeth Lubker Nay and step father Edwin Weatherton. His father, Gene Nay (pre-deceased).
In-laws Francisco Sr and Estella Ruiz, sister-in-law Elizabeth & brother-in-law Manny Meza; nieces Ramona and Victoria; brother-in-law Francisco Jr & Jessica Ruiz; niece Jayna.
Best friends, Scott Miller, Kevin Baxter, Tito Mann, Scott Carey.
Blane was always adventurous growing up and enjoyed hiking, fishing, camping, rock climbing, and bike racing.
He was a great husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was a person everyone would love when they encountered him. He was honest, upfront, loyal, dedicated, and loving. A trustful person who would help everyone, give advise or lend a helping hand. He was SO intelligent!! His laughter and humor was contagious. He was the "Jack of all trades"... construction, Fireman for California Department of Forestry, Volunteer Fireman (New Plymouth ID), Search and Rescue (Tuolumne County, CA), medicine (AMR for Stanislaus County and Alameda County-EMT and Paramedic), water management (Black Canyon Irrigation in Idaho and Oakdale Irrigation) and Farmer (B&C Farms).
Blane attended San Leandro High School, Columbia Junior College, and EMT and Paramedic School.
He will be missed dearly by his family, friends and co-workers. Good-bye for now, we will meet again one day.
Services will be held on Monday, July 29th, 2013 from 4pm to 7pm, Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Dr. Modesto, CA (209) 523-5646. If you attend, please do not wear all black. He wanted us to celebrate his life.
