Billy Wayne Armstrong began his amazing life journey on February 6, 1933 in Caddo Oklahoma to his loving parents William James and Thelma Gladys Armstrong. He went peacefully into Heaven in his home on August 14, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his sister Genevieve Russell. He grew up in Bryan County Oklahoma with his family and resided most of his life in Modesto and Oakdale, CA where he was a farmer. In his later years he was a truck driver for La Follette Trucking Inc. in Turlock, CA. He was also a Korean War Veteran. He loved to garden, play music, and spend time with loved ones. He is survived by his sister Phyllis Rogers, and his large family which include; His Ex-wife Daisy Armstrong, oldest daughter Alycia Portrey and her five children Sarina, Cheri, Carrie, Jennyann, and Jessica. His second oldest Carla Armstrong, and oldest son Bruce Armstrong ,his wife Pam and their three children, Justin, Kayla and Davis, and his youngest child Jason Stude, his wife Stacy, and their two children Austin and Megan. In addition to his four children and 10 grandchildren, he also has 11 great grand-children, soon to be 12 in October. He was a loving family man and was the most unselfish person we have ever known. God truly picked an amazing angel to take with him in heaven, and he is missed tremendously by his large loving family. Everything we are is because of our Dad, Grandpa, and Papa, and any person that had the pleasure of meeting him got a little taste of how wonderful he made our lives. We will be celebrating his life on Sunday August 25, 2013 at his oldest son, Bruce's home located 10101 Hutchinson Road Manteca CA. The celebrations will begin at 2 p.m. anyone who knew Billy Wayne is more than welcome to come and celebrate the impact he had on our lives. We love you more than you'll ever know! We hope you're in heaven looking down on all of us. Rest in Love!
