Clayton Allan Burch

Clayton Allan Burch was born in Oakland on Jan. 8, 1944. He passed away at home on January 10, 2014. He attended schools in Oakland and Modesto High School. Clayton was a Navy veteran of four years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service with 39 years of service. He played touch football, basketball, softball, bowled and golfed. Christmas day basketball games with family and friends was a highlight of the year. Golfing was the main sport in retirement. He was an avid Dodgers' fan (can't forget to mention that Clayton really "hated" the Giants) and looked forward every year to the Armchair Fantasy Football League. He was a member of this league for over 25 years. Clayton was predeceased by his sister Margaret Cox of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is survived by his wife Karen, son Daron (Alesia), grandchildren Connor and Katie and his sister Judy Haas. He leaves behind loving cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Clayton's Life will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014, 12:00p.m. at Marie Callender's , 3500 Coffee Road, Modesto, CA.
