Well, it's been ten years now. Time does not heal all wounds. My heart will be broken for the rest of my life. This anniversary was especially tough. Sadly, it's been the first time I have considered joining you. I thought of the few people who care if I'm still here and decided I'll stick around. I guess knowing what your loss has felt like to me, made me realize I don't want to do that to others. It is a solace to know you are safe and at peace. My love for you knows no bounds. Until we meet again. Mom

Hey Doug,
Just when i didnt think this day could get any harder, it did. I have been thinking about you a lot and how much you are missing out on. Our daughter is 14 now and is so kind, beautiful, and funny. I miss you and wish you could see how amazing she is. I hope i get to see you again some day and laugh like we used to.

You've been gone eight years today. It is still especially hard to live without you here with us. It helps to know that you are at peace and that gives me some comfort on most days. Anniversary day is just hard no matter what. Your boys are all grown up now. Your daughter is turning into a wonderful young woman. Until I see you again, I love you. Mom

My Son: A month has gone and I'm still not sure what to say. The tears are still flowing freely. My heart is still filled with the immense pain of losing you. My only solace comes from my faith in God. I know you are safe and loved even more than when you were but a babe in my arms.
Nothing in this life has prepared me for this but I will do my best to carry on. Your children will be cherished. They will be told of your great love for each of them. Until we meet again, you will live in my heart. Love, Mom

My name is Andrea. I was his cousin from Indiana. I was only 2 yrs older than him. I was 7 he was 5 when they moved to Arizona. I only was able to go out 5 times the 26 yrs they lived there but I was closer to him than anyone else. I always loved him and always will. I wasn't able to make it out for the service, but seeing this has helped me to actually start dealing with it. My thoughts and prayers are with my family always. I love you all! I love and miss you Doug!
