WILSON, PEGGY - FT. MOHAVE
PEGGY WILSON Peggy Wilson, age 60, (beloved daughter, sister and aunt) of Fort Mohave, Ariz. went home to be with the Lord when she lost her battle with cancer on Thursday, June 25, 2015 while at home surrounded by her loved ones. Peggy was born on September 24, 1954 in the Netherlands to Victor and Edith (Tismeer) Marinussen. She and her family moved to California in 1972 where she resided until her move to Fort Mohave, Ariz. in 2010. She was employed at Prudential Insurance Company for 34 years processing health claims. Everyone that met and came to know Peggy loved her. She had a sweetness about her that drew people to her and made them befriend her immediately. Her quiet demeanor belied her incredible sense of humor. Many members of the family will lovingly remember her good natured laugh and her off the wall comments whenever we spent time together. Peggy loved the Lord and spent many years serving at her church in Simi Valley and later at First Baptist Church. She bravely faced her illness with courage and never lost her faith in spite of the dire diagnosis she was eventually given. With a smile on her face, she always told everyone the Lord would either heal her or take her home and she was fine with either decision. Her parting has left an incredible void and she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her. Our comfort comes from knowing she is with the Lord and we will see her again. Peggy was preceded in death by her nephew, Joey Heredero. She is survived by her parents, Victor and Edith Marinussen of Fort Mohave; brothers, Eugene (Elisabeth) Marinussen, Albert (Thea) Marinussen, Roy (Marry) Marinussen and Stan (Marnie) Marinussen residing in the Netherlands; sisters, Jane (Chuck) Hancock of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Leonie Marinussen of Fort Mohave, Ariz., and Linda (Joe) Heredero of Lake Havasu City; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces that adored her. A Celebration of Peggy's Life will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, July 3, 2015 at First Baptist Church, 5360 Calle Valle Vista, Ft. Mohave, Ariz., with Pastor Charles Short offering words of comfort and inspiration. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leonie Marinussen to assist in medical expenses that were incurred at gofund.me/peggywilson.
