In loving memory of Marrene, Mom, Mammy Arvidson. Marrene loved dogs, gardening and the American flag. She always had a goal in life that made her a hard worker who was full of energy and always busy. She was the life of the party, big or small. BASS, WALTER L. - BULLHEAD CITY  
In Loving Memory of WALTER L. BASS Walter L. Bass, age 71, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2015. He was born on March 28, 1944. Walter enjoyed boating, camping, off roading, NASCAR and didn't miss a weekend race. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cora and Leonard Bass of Los Angeles, Calif. Walter is survived by his wife of 34 years; three children; eight grandchildren; and three step children. He is now pain free. RIP, You are missed! -Your loving family.

BEIERSCHMITT, GEORGE EDWARD - Fort Mohave  
GEORGE E. BEIERSCHMITT George Edward Beierschmitt, age 87, a 33-year resident of Fort Mohave, passed away at home Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was born to George and Dorothy Beierschmitt on March 16, 1928 in Erie, Pa. George joined the United States Maritime Service at the age of 16, serving in the Merchant Marines and Navy on the USS Wiltsie with Rankings of AS, S2, F2, F1, MM3 in WWII and was a member of the VFW. He retired from the Edgewater after working 23 years as a slot mechanic and manager. He loved boating, ships, cruises and traveling. "A most amazing man who was loved by so many family members and friends" George was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard, Henry, Victor, Donald, Charles, Ralph; and daughter, Rose Ellen. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ann Beierschmitt; daughters, Georgette (David) Hayes and Suzanne (Chris) Warick, both of Florida and Laurie (John) Bivans of Iowa; brother, Robert (Shirley); eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Michelle, Angie, Heidi, Bobby, Tara, Matt and Chrissy; and many great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Services for George will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 S Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley, AZ.

GEORGE, GERALDINE (HATCHER) - Bullhead City  
GERALDINE (HATCHER) GEORGE Geraldine H. George, 96, of Syracuse, Kan., passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Via Christi Hospital, Manhattan, Kan. She had been residing in Wamego, Kan. for a short time. She had lived in Bullhead City, Ariz. following retirement. Geraldine was born July 11, 1919 in Minneola, Kan., the daughter of Frank D. and Laura L. (Monson) Hatcher. She attended schools in Minneola and graduated from Minneola High School. She married Raymond Fristoe in 1943, he preceded her in death. She later married Neill Roy George in 1961 in Minneola, Kan. He also preceded her in death. She spent many years as a homemaker and was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star- St. Bernard Chapter 97 of Dodge City, Kan. She enjoyed sewing, especially quilting, and collecting sunflower and frog memorabilia. She was an avid story teller and appreciated time spent with family and friends. Geraldine was also preceded in death by four brothers: Fay, F.D., E.L. Shug, and Fontelle. Her survivors include, three step-daughters, Ann (Richard) Whipple of Rathdrum, ID, Gayle Barns of Mullberry, AR, Sandy (Lonie) Hank of Liberty, MO; niece, Sandra (Wilbur) Ellis of Granada, CO; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services with Order of Eastern Star burial services for Geraldine will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 1, 2015, at the Minneola Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to the Order of Eastern Star-St. Bernard Chapter 97, Dodge City, KS, and may be left in care of Stewart Funeral Home, PO Box 48, Wamego, KS. 66547. HAMMOND, BILLIE RITA - BULLHEAD CITY  
BILLIE RITA HAMMOND Billie Rita Hammond, age 79, a 17-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz. passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015. She was born on April 4, 1936 in Declo, Idaho. Billie was an active member of the Elks Auxiliary and the Red Hats. She was a dedicated volunteer at WARMC as well as St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Hammond; and her daughter, Debbie Pierce. Billie is survived by her son, Owen (Debbie) Nannie; daughters, Kristi (Jerry) Brigante and Jill Nannie; sister, Patricia Gibbs; as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Everyone who knew Billie loved her dearly and she will be greatly missed! According to Billie's wishes, no services will be held.

HORNADAY, LARRY - Bullhead City  
LARRY HORNADAY Larry Hornaday, age 67, a 13-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz. passed away at Valley View Hospital on Sunday, July 19, 2015 of pancreatic cancer. Larry worked in Aerospace Industry for over 35 years before retiring to the desert. He loved to play softball, basketball, and bowl. In his early years, he played softball for several years on a company league, and then after retiring joined a bowling league locally in Laughlin, Nev. at the Riverside Resort where he bowled a perfect 300 game. Larry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sharon Hornaday; daughter, Lisa Nielson of Yucaipa, Calif; three step-children, Paula Arenz , Cindy Atwood, and Gary Reed; brother, Lewis Hornaday, Jr of Las Vegas, Nev; two sisters, Nila Hornaday of Prescott, Ariz. and Linda Neville of Ontario, Calif.; and eight grandchildren, Meghan Nielson, Jacob Nielson, Danielle Arenz, Theresa Atwood, Daniel Atwood, Daniel Reed, Ryan Reed, and Chelsea Reed. No public services are planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Larry's name to Patrick Swayze Pancreas Cancer Research Fund, P.O. Box 20466.
