~Janell Shannon (Jenkins) Ward, age 42, a resident of Mohave Valley, Ariz. passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 in Needles, Calif. She was born in Parker, Ariz. on June 24, 1971.

~A proud member of the Fort Mojave Indian Tribe, Shannon lived in Mohave Valley, Ariz. and attended school at Mohave Valley Elementary and Needles High School. A homemaker and a devout member of the House of Faith Church.

~She is preceded in death by her father, Norwood Jenkins, Sr.; her paternal grandparents, Harwood and Minerva Jenkins; her maternal grandmother, Audrey Hayes; uncles, Gilman Jenkins, Neil Jenkins, Sr., and Walter Jenkins; and aunts, Jerelyn (Sandra) Jenkins Navarro, Ophilia Ramirez, and Jennifer (Jenkins) Villalobos.

~Janell is survived by her husband, Wood E. Ward, Sr. of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; children, Marcos Jenkins, Lupe Jenkins Drennan, Jose Yanez III, Tashina Jenkins, and Tyra Ward of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; mother, Cynthia Holmes of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; siblings, Jessica (Orejel) Lopez, Keith Sr., Marcella (Marcie) and Brandon Jenkins of Mohave Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren, Marcos, Roman, Jacob, Aaliyah and Jose III.; uncles, Jake Holmes, Delbert Holmes, Delvin (Joyce) Holmes, Melvin Holmes, Alex (Michele) Holmes, Dennis Williams; and aunts, Joann Gates, Sharon Henry, and Gayle (Aaron) Drennan.

~Church Services will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Fort Mojave Gymnasium, 500 Merriman Avenue, Needles, Calif.

~Traditional Services will immediately follow at Fort Mojave Mourning Hall, 700 Harrison, Needles, Calif. until Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 4:00 a.m.

~Burial will commence at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Riverview Cemetery, 1101 East Broadway, Needles, Calif.
