Peter Anthony Eidsness, age 27, a resident of Bullhead City for most of his life, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at his home in Bullhead City, Ariz.
Peter was born May 3, 1984, in Lake Havasu City, to Gregg and Jouliet Eidsness. He attended school in Bullhead City, and graduated from Mohave High School in 2002. Peter was a Boy Scout, was involved in student council, and was an outstanding athlete. He earned a brown belt in karate, and took home many awards for his accomplishments in football and wrestling at Mohave High, including the Dan Salyer Award for Wrestling in 2002.
Peter was also a gifted artist. He painted and sketched, and enjoyed getting a rise out of his brothers with his humorous caricatures.
He attended UNLV, and while living in Las Vegas Peter worked as a high school wrestling referee. He moved back to Bullhead City in 2010, working as a self-employed sales representative.
While he may not have been fond of manual or mechanical work, Peter never had a problem completing his chores with the help of his amiable personality and many friends. He made friends wherever he went, and always seemed to be in the center of the group.
He was also a prolific reader, and was passionate about politics and social issues. He recently announced his candidacy for the Arizona House of Representatives.Peter loved his family very much and his brothers meant everything to him. He cherished thousands of childhood adventures shared with Daniel, and shared a love of sports with Sean, whose athletic accomplishments made Peter particularly proud and happy. Peter had a special fondness for his uncle Sammy.
Peter is survived by his mother, Jouliet; father, Gregg; two brothers, Daniel of Buena Park, Calif. And Sean of Bullhead City, Ariz.; grandmother, Mary Jane Eidsness of Devils Lake, N.D.; six uncles; five aunts; and 18 cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Saint John Lutheran Church, 1664 Central Ave., Bullhead City, Ariz.
