ROBERT A. MOIR, JR.
~Robert A. Moir, Jr., age 62, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013, in Bullhead City, Ariz., after a courageous 12-year battle with cancer. He was born in 1950 in San Francisco, Calif.
~Bob grew up in Southern California, loved the ocean, fishing and surfing as a young man. Venice Beach was his favorite stomping grounds. After starting his career with Bell Telephone in Calif., he moved to Bullhead City in 1973. He worked 40 years for Citizens Utilities/Frontier, where he was known as a hardworking, loyal and valued employee until his death. He made many friends, was loved and will be missed by everyone.
~Bob loved to bass fish, ride quads, and spend time with his wife Diane at their getaway near Lake Mead, in Meadview, Ariz. He also had a life-long love for deviled eggs, German chocolate cake and beef stroganoff. Bob loved to tell the story of how he caught the pictured 37+lb. striper with his bare hands in the river.
~Bob is survived by his loving wife Diane; his son Robert (Alex) Moir III, wife Beatriz and their sons Zachary and Breyton; his daughter Larissa Moir-McHam, husband Doug; his children's mother Betty; Diane's son Chad Elliott, wife Shilo and their daughters Chloe and Serena.
~Bob was a true GENTLEMAN; kind, sweet and easy-going. He will be missed dearly and leaves behind a family of water dogs, desert rats, and "fishing fools".
~Per Bob's wishes there will be no services. His family will hold a private celebration of his life at the lake at a future date.
