ROGER BOETTCHER(1951 - 2013)

~Roger Boettcher, age 62, a resident of Bullhead City, Ariz. died Sunday, June 30, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nev. Roger was born April 15, 1951 in rural Michigan and moved to San Diego, Calif. at an early age where he was raised to become a man. Thanks to his calm demeanor, sly wit and warm smile Roger was known as a friend to all.

~He valiantly served his country in the U.S. Army, doing a full tour of duty in Vietnam. Upon his return, Roger settled in Florida for a while, later moving to Las Vegas, Nev. There he distinguished himself as a respected member of the business community, establishing his appliance store as one of the premier businesses of its type in that city. After that Roger moved to Bullhead City, Ariz. to join the technical support team at Upton Appliance where he worked for twenty years. During this time he became, not only a member of the Upton family, but touched everyone he interacted with, due to his kind heart. ~Along with longtime "partner-in-crime" Nancy Upton, Roger participated in all of her charitable events. Many of Bullhead City's young adults remember him fondly as the man who ran the snack bar at the Pop Warner football games. He was indeed a selfless man, raising his nephew Derrick Penninger, as his own son.

~Roger is survived by his daughter, Shelley Boettcher; nephew, Derrick and his son, Derrick Jr.; sister, Donna; nephews, Patrick and Andre; two granddaughters; everyone in his extended family at Upton Appliance; and his little dog "Goofy".

Roger Boettcher, short in stature-big in heart. He will be missed by all.

May God bless Roger like he has blessed all of us.
