GLEN WESLEY ALLEN

~Glen Wesley Allen, age 86, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013 in the comfort of his home as he wished. He was born on November 26, 1926 to Lydia L. and Charles H. Allen in Outlook, Wash. He was raised by foster parents, Irene and Albert C. Pedley.

~Glen served in the U.S. Marine Corp in three wars, World War II, Korean War and Vietnam from 1944 to 1966 and received the Bronze Star with Combat V in Korea. In 1966 he retired from Marine Corp to cattle ranching in Roosevelt, Utah and then Charlo, Montana and in 1996, he retired permanently to Fort Mohave, Ariz.

~On April 17, 1949 Glen married Shirley Harlan in Hastings, Neb. They were married 64 years when he died.

~He was preceded in death by both sets of parents and nine brothers and sisters.

~Glen is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, William Allen and family of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Linda Allen and family of Santa Rosa, Calif.; granddaughters, Melissa Allen and family of Libby, Montana, Kara Eggert of San Diego, Calif.; grandsons, Shane Allen and family of Libby, Montana, Justin Eggert and family of Santa Rosa, Calif.; and six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

~A memorial will be held later for family and friends.
