Jimmie Irving Taylor, age 78, a father, grandfather, brother, husband and coach, shed his earthly tent on Sunday, February 2, 2014 and now resides in the glories of our Heavenly Father along with his son Jimmie and wife Anne. Mr. Taylor was born June 18, 1935 in Oklahoma and moved to Needles, Calif. in 1959 to teach at Needles High School.
Jimmie was a school teacher with a love for coaching. He coached many sports over his 32 year career, his favorite being football. He was victorious in championship games and also experienced defeat, but he coached at a time when the whole town was beaming with blue pride that always brought such joy.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Anne; and son, Jimmie.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammie Collins and Terri Brown; daughter-in-law, Robin Taylor; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. (Calif. time) 11 a.m. (Ariz. time) on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Mohave Valley Methodist Church, 1593 Lipan, Fort Mohave, Ariz.
