ALICE ANN (ROHDE) TODD
"The smile & sparkle remain..."
Alice Ann Todd, age 72, a 17-year resident of Fort Mohave, Ariz. passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at home with her family. She was born on August 30, 1945 to Gerald "Jerry" Arthur Rohde and Anna Marie (Reich) Rohde in Palisades, Wash. She joined brother Arthur "Art" Benton Rohde and would move with the family when they settled in East Wenatchee, Wash.
A somewhat frail and shy child, Alice would concentrate on some solo pursuits that she would continue all her life - reading and sewing. A lover of music, she would participate in drill team and Campfire Girls during her years in East Wenatchee. After graduating from Eastmont High School in 1963, and Wenatchee Valley College in 1965, Alice moved to the exciting big city of Seattle. From racing powder puff to fishing in Alaska, from working in air freight to trucking to construction, from running for office in Women's Traffic & Transportation Club to remaining a lifelong member of the Eagles, and through all of her hobbies such as stitching, dancing, genealogy, quilting, and hot rod cars - Alice was always the first to greet you and lend a helping hand.
She would go on to have her daughter, Kristina, in 1976 and marry the love of her life, Arthur "Artie" Todd in 1985. The Todd Family was a unit that did everything together - movies, road trips, car shows, dance classes, you name it! In 2001, Alice and Artie left Seattle for the warmer climate of Arizona. In Fort Mohave, Ariz, she then became an employee of Hoover Quality Homes, a Red Hat Lady, and an active member in both the Quilt Guild and the River Cruisers Car Club.
Alice was a cheerful warrior until the very end.
All who knew her will miss her and continue to speak
of her kindness.

Alice was a dear sweet friend. We used to joke about making each other's clothes. She was a wonderful quilter. She always had a Great Smile and I will miss her. I feel very lucky to have called her my friend. Prayers to Artie and Kristina.
