David Lee Durdall, age 74, a 6-year resident of Fort Mohave, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in Fort Mohave after fighting a long battle against a debilatating illness. He was surrounded by his family.
The Guest Book is expired.
David was born August 7, 1938. He grew up in Port Washington, Wis. where he graduated from high school before joining the U.S. Navy. Following his Honorable Discharge, Dave entered the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater, Wis. After college, Dave worked in finance and was managing a financial institution in Janesville, Wis. when he met his wife, Dorothy. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last month.
David liked to travel and delighted in showing his grandchildren some of the wonders of our U.S.A. Being a smooth dancer, Dave could cut a mean jitterbug and make his partner look like a pro. David also loved to golf, fish, explore the desert while treasure hunting, and was an excellent Texas Hold 'em player.
David is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Dane and Douglas; and four grandchildren, Bethany, Allie, Benjamin and Tabetha.
He will be deeply missed.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
A special thanks go out to New Hope Hospice for their loving care and support.
