Franklin L. Phillips, age 76, a 19-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz. passed away on Wednesday July 3, 2013 in Bullhead City with his wife and family at his side. He was born December 31, 1936 in Miami, Florida.

He was very dedicated and passionate about anything and everything he did whether it was for family, community, Kiwanis or his church, St. Margaret Mary.

Frank was a member of the Bullhead City Morning Kiwanis Club in which he was name Kiwanian of the Year and was a past president. As Building and Grounds Manager at the Riverside Resort and Casino, he was responsible for keeping departments running smoothly. Through his hard work and diligence he was honored by being named Manager of the Year. He retired and after only on year, decided that he wasn't ready for retirement. He went back to the Riverside to oversee the ground maintenance for the RV Park and continued his work there until a week before his passing

Frank was honored for his involvement in the community when he received the prestigious Community Achievement Award in 2006 for Public Service. He also served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Phillips and sister, Arlene McDonald.

Frank is survived by his wife of 13 years, Rose Marie Phillips of Bullhead City. Also survived by his first wife, Paula Askeroth of Yuma, Ariz. and their children: son, Franklin L. Phillips, Jr. of Bullhead City; daughter, Raquel (Louis) Scott of Yuma and their daughter, Natalie; Nanette (Dan) Kotke of Tucson, Ariz. and their children, Danielle, Chase, and Jake.

He is also survived by Rose's children, Casey (Cheryl) Rodman of Bullhead City and their children, Casey Rodman, Jr. and Samantha Wade; Stefan (Annie) Rodman of Bullhead City and their son, Ryland; and numerous great grandchildren

The funeral schedule is: Visitation at 10:00 a.m.on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church,1691 N. Oatman Road, Bullhead City, AZ. ,followed by a Rosary at 10:40 a.m. and the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Fr. Bitrus Maigamo. A reception will follow and all are welcome to share in fellowship and refreshments.
