GUSTAVE CARL JOHNSON, JR.
~Gustave C. Johnson, Jr., age 78, a 25-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2013. He was born September 24, 1935, in Chicago, Ill.
~Gus graduated from the Wharton School of Finance at University of Pennsylvania. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany from 1963-1967. Before and after the Army, he was in airline management. After receiving his Master's in Hotel Administration at UNLV, he worked in the casino industry in Nevada and New Jersey. Over the years, he was also an Illinois National Guardsman, volunteer fireman, disc jockey, real estate agent, ESL teacher and was active in the American Legion, Elks, Moose, German-American Friendship club and MENSA. He was an expert on WWII and enjoyed chess, cards and board games.
~He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Matusheski).
~Mr. Johnson is survived by his daughter, Sigrid Wright of Castro Valley, Calif; and sister, Patricia Ibbs of Clearwater, Fla.
~Interment took place November 1, 2013 at Southern Nevada Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.
