KENNETH WILLIAM WOOD SR.

~Kenneth William Wood, Sr., age 74, a 14-year resident of Bullhead City, Ariz., left to be with the Lord very suddenly on Friday, July 26, 2013, while he was doing what he loved most in life; camping with Ilene, his wife of 57 years, and their two dogs in Ennis, Mont.

~Ken was a very active man from early in life, riding his horse, Cedar, in the foothills of Ogden, Utah. He loved to swim and he swam for his high school swim team, setting many records; some he held for 20 years. He met and married his wife Ilene in Ogden, Utah.

~Ken joined the Air Force and became a plane mechanic. After his hitch, he and Ilene moved to Los Angeles, Calif. He earned a certificate as a Steam Plant Engineer and worked for the Southern California Gas Company for many years. He and his family moved to Glendale, Calif.,and then to La Crescenta, Calif. He joined the Elk's Lodge and went on to become the Exalted Ruler #906 in 1998-1999 of the Sunland Tujunga Lodge #2098. He also worked for the Pasadena College of Art and Design as a building maintenance supervisor. In August of 1999, Ken and Ilene moved to their dream house in Bullhead City, and Ken started working with the Pioneer Hotel in the Security Department, later to become head of the Security. He also taught CPR and self-defense. After his retirement he and Ilene spent many days traveling in the RV.

~Ken is now in the loving arms of his mother and father Bill and Roselyn Wood of Ogden, Utah. He has rejoined with many friends and family that preceded him.

~Ken is survived by his two sons, Ken (Laura) Wood, Jr. of Marysville, Wash. and Kevin (Debbie) Wood of Bullhead City, Ariz; .sister, Betty (Jack) Broadway; two grandsons, Kody of Marysville, Wash. and Kris (Amanda) and great-granddaugher Charlotte of Marysville, Wash.
