Roy was born June 19, 1936, in San Angelo, Texas. He served in the Army as a MP.
Roy was a carpenter, farmer, landscaper and a Jack of all trades, building, shooting and keeping his truck clean.
Roy was a loving caring husband and "Dad" and friend to all. Also, he loved helping others, especially his family. He was an awesome carpenter who will be building us all a 'mansion in heaven' with his own hands. We will always miss "Dad" "Papa" forever, but never forgotten!
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Maggie Pope; five siblings, Hollis, John, Lucille, Lila, and Bobby; and grandson, Brandon Pope.
He is survived by his wife, Brigitte; two sons, Randal and Todd (Samantha); three daughters, Cherie (Don), Kimberly, and Brenda; four siblings, Ray, Glen, Zelma and Marie; seven grandchildren, Derick, Randy, Devan, Jennifer, Elizabeth, Mackenzie, and Christopher; and two great-grandchildren, Israel and Caeli-Joy.
Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 22, 2012, at Assembly of God Chapel, 2004 Regents Road, Mohave Valley. Frank Plummer will officiate.
A pot luck reception will follow at 8090 Harquahala Drive, Mohave Valley. BYOB. RSVP-Cherie (928) 451-1624.
