William Lee "Bill" Penry Jr., age 61, a 37-year resident of Mohave Valley, Ariz., passed away at home, with his family by his side, on Friday, June 29, 2012. He was born September 12, 1950, in Tyler, Texas.

Bill served three years in the United States Army, and retired from BNSF Railroad.

He will always be in our hearts, and missed greatly.

Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Trudy; two daughters, Shana Baker and Mandy Knox; and grandson, Logan Knox.

A celebration of Bill's life, followed by military honors presented by the United Veterans Honor Guard, will be held for family and friends at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012, at Desert Lawn Funeral Home, 9250 South Ranchero Lane, Mohave Valley.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the United Veterans Honor Guard, made payable to VFW Post 404-Honor Guard, and mailed to 10287 Barrackman Rd, Mohave Valley, AZ 86440.
