William T. "Tom" Richards, Jr., age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 14, 2013 in Bullhead City, Ariz. He was born on January 3, 1934 in Bayfield, Colo. to W.T. and Esther Richards. Tom was married for 49 years to his wife, Wyoma.

Tom served in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and served the great State of Colorado as a Colorado Highway Patrolman for 32 years. After retiring from the Colorado State Patrol, he served as the Sheriff of Archuleta County, Colo. for 16 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wyoma, who passed away in 2006; his parents; brother; and five sisters.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Mary Garcia of Bullhead City; son, Bill of Eufala, Okla.; and two grandchildren, Lacee Garcia and Craig Lucero.
Services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the Ross Aragon Community Center in Pagosa Springs, Colo., with interment following at the Pine River Cemetery in Bayfield, Colo.
A Memorial Service for Tom's friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2013 in the Community Center at Longridge Mobile Home Park, 2960 Silver Creek Road, Bullhead City, Ariz.
