JILL J. KING

~Jill J. (Jenkins) King, age 65, passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2014 in Ft. Mohave, Ariz.

~Jill was born on April 25, 1948 in Detroit, Mich. and was raised in Southern California from the age of three and remained a resident of the Inland Empire for 59 years before moving to Ft. Mohave in 2011.

~Upon graduating from Upland High School, Jill enrolled in Beauty College and later owned The Hair Loom in Upland. During her life she befriended many people at work and at play. Bowling was her hobby for 40+ years. She served as Secretary of most leagues she bowled on and was a past President of the Women's Citrus Belt Association. She also belonged to a card club for over 40+ years. Cross stitching was a familiar sight while Jill was watching NASCAR, golf or the NFL. Always ready to go, Jill loved camping and traveling, especially on Cruise ships.

~Jill was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Jenkins; and her husband of 22 years, Jack D. King.

~She is survived by her partner, Michael Day; two sisters, Margaret (Thomas) Baker of Shafter, Calif. and Rebecca (John) Shepherd of Bullhead City, Ariz.; two brothers, Lawrence (Barbara) Jenkins of Mohave Valley, Ariz. and John (Tina) Jenkins of Mesa, Ariz.

~A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. (Ariz. time) on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at The Moose Lodge #1860, 2620 Miracle Mile, Bullhead City, Ariz.

~In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Jill King to the .
