~June Isabell Smiley Hadley Wickersham, 88 years young at heart, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014. She was the last of six children, born on June 2, 1925 in Bentonville, Ind.
~June was a graduate of Connersville High School and a Nursing and Art Scholarship recipient. She managed to raise and get six children graduated through Connersville High School, trade schools and colleges. She was a resident of Connersville, Ind. for over 50 years and retired from Ford along with her husband Howard and moved to Bullhead City, Ariz. to be with her sister Gwen and her husband Carlyle.
~June and her husband were world travelers, artists, collectors, good neighbors and teachers. They had many great friends and were generous parents. She loved Avon products and kept them in business. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and belonged to the Senior Circle.
~June was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; and son, Terry Hadley.
~She is survived by her daughters, Pam Gallagher and Brenda Lucas of Tampa, Fla.; three step-children, Sandy McWhorter of Mansfield, Ohio, Howard Wickersham IV of Milroy, Ind. and Greg Wickersham of Connersville, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
~Services for family were held in Tampa, Fla. Also, services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Faith Fellowship Community Church, 1725 Shamrock Rd., Bullhead City, refreshments will be served immediately following the services.
June is loved and will be greatly missed by all!
