Devona Mae Owen Boswell, age 81 of Bullhead City, Ariz. has left this world to join our Heavenly Father Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

She was born on February 17, 1933 in St Louis, Mo. where she graduated from Xavier High School in 1951. A year later she then married William Boswell and from this union four children were born. Bill and Dee settled down in Bullhead City in 1985 where she held a position as gift shop manager at the Edgewater Casino for several years. Dee left her full time position at the casino to semi-retire. Her passion working with the public led her to take a position as a front line cashier at the local Walmart where she continued to enjoy the face to face inner action with the public for another 10+ years before fully retiring.

Her spirit for life and laughter was enjoyed by whomever Dee encountered. Possessing a strong will, spunkiness and devotion, Dee left behind a grand legacy that her loved ones will carry throughout their lives. As the Boswell family patriarch, she will be missed dearly and will be forever in our hearts.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Josephine Owen; sister, Irma Klingert of St. Peters, Mo.

She is survived by her lifelong partner and husband of 61 years of marriage, William J. Boswell; daughters, Debbie Edwards of Las Vegas, Nev., Brenda Smith of Reading, Pa., and Donna Edwards-Cochran of Bullhead City. Ariz.; son, William J. Boswell II of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew and their children.

In lieu of flowers, donations would be graciously accepted to the
Alzheimer's Foundation on behalf of Devona Boswell.

A memorial to celebrate her life will be held privately for her family and close family friends.
