Lee Roy Christian, age 71, a resident of Kingman, Ariz., passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 in Orange, California.

Leeroy was born in Scott County, Virginia, on December 11, 1940 and was raised between Virginia and Tennessee.

After he married, he raised his family in Rowland Heights, Calif. After 30 years, he retired from the California Ironworkers Union Local #416 and resided in several homes in Bullhead City, Ariz., and Cantamar and San Felipe, Mexico.

Leeroy enjoyed Baja off-road races, and enjoyed life in Mexico with close friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Tania, and his brother, Paul Christian.

Leeroy is survived by his two children, Tony (Terri) Christian, and Melissa (William) Woods; his sister, Emma Jean Harron; his three brothers, Earl, Gene and Allen; two grandchildren Tiffany Christian and Amy Woods; the mother of his children and longtime friend, Freda Christian; and many nieces and nephews. Also, Leeroy was known as "Papa" to assumed daughter, Debbie Franklin, and her children, Shanna and Bradley.
